AGTS was accredited by the NCA (now HLC) in 1978. After a series of five-year visits based on the seminary’s need to address what NCA considered to be important issues of governance and control, it granted a ten-year reaffirmation in 1992. In the same year, the Seminary became an accredited member of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS). A joint visit by both accrediting associations occurred during March 2001, and another joint visit in 2011 resulted in a positive ten-year affirmation. After the consolidation with Central Bible College and 91¾«Æ· in 2013, ATS visited the campus and extended AGTS’s accreditation until 2023. Another comprehensive visit by ATS occurred in 2023, which also resulted in the reaffirmation of AGTS’s accreditation with this association until 2033.
