The EU Advocates have held an annual fundraising sale since 1964. The 鈥淐olossal Sale鈥 went on hiatus after the 2014 event and was revived in 2019 thanks to an influx of younger members.
鈥淪ince the founding of Evangel in 1955, members of the EU Advocates have been a constant support to the university by volunteering their time and talents,鈥 said Dr. Michael Kolstad, EU鈥檚 executive vice president and chief of staff. 鈥淭heir earliest efforts provided curtains and furniture in the dorms for our very first group of students.鈥
In addition to scholarships, major projects funded by the Advocates include the Heritage Room in Riggs Hall, the large Schantz pipe organ in Spence Chapel, outfitting of the second and third floor lobbies of Trask Hall, lighting and stage curtains for Barnett Fine Arts Theatre, uniforms for Evangel鈥檚 marching band, and new cameras for the Communications Department.
